As a mixed media artist, I gained invaluable insights from the workshop, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge with fellow artists. This experience, coupled with the generous monetary support, will significantly enhance my artistic process. I plan to invest in a wider range of international papers to explore new textures and dimensions in my work, as well as acquire a new scanner to improve the digital aspect of my mixed media pieces. This support empowers me to push creative boundaries and elevate my artistic expression.

Sri Lanka's economic challenges pose a significant hurdle for creatives, as financial constraints often prioritize survival over artistic pursuits. While the younger generation demonstrates a promising connection to art through social media, the broader population's focus on daily struggles limits their engagement with the arts. This economic pressure stifles creativity and hinders the development of a thriving artistic ecosystem, emphasizing the need for greater support to unlock the full potential of Sri Lankan talent.

My primary goal as an artist is to find personal fulfillment through the creative process and share my artistic vision with the world. Collaborating with other artists to explore diverse perspectives and hosting my own exhibition to showcase my unique style are key steps towards achieving this. Ultimately, I aspire to create art that resonates with others and leaves a lasting impact.

Initially, I sought connection with the local Sri Lankan art scene, but faced challenges in gaining acceptance. Undeterred, I turned to the global community, leveraging social media to share my work. அழுத்தமான சமூகப் பிரச்சினைகளைத் தீர்ப்பதற்கும், சிந்தனையைத் தூண்டுவதற்கும், செயலைத் தூண்டுவதற்கும் கலை ஒரு சக்திவாய்ந்த தளமாக செயல்படுகிறது. சக கலைஞர்களுடன் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் செயற்படுவதன் மூலம் நமது கருத்தை விருத்தி செய்து, ஆழமான தாக்கத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும். தீர காட்சிசார் கதைகள் மூலம் நாம் தற்போதைய நிலையை சவால் செய்யலாம், பச்சாதாபத்தை வளர்க்கலாம் மற்றும் சிறந்த உலகத்திற்கான விருப்பத்தைத் தூண்டலாம். கலையானது மொழி மற்றும் கலாச்சாரத் தடைகளைக் கடக்ககூடிய தனித்துவமான திறனைக் கொண்டுள்ளது, இது செயல்முனைவிற்கு விலைமதிப்பற்ற கருவியாக அமைகிறது.

ஒரு பல்-ஊடகக் கலைஞராக, நான் பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையில் இருந்து விலைமதிப்பற்ற நுண்ணறிவுகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதோடு சககலைஞர்களுடன் இணைந்து வளமான அறிவுப் பரிமாற்றத்தை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டேன். இந்த அனுபவம், பெரும் நிதியுதவி ஆதரவுகளுடன் ஒன்றிணைத்ததோடு எனது கலைச் செயல்முறையை கணிசமாக மேம்படுத்தியது. எனது வேலையில் புதிய கட்டமைப்புகள் மற்றும் பரிமாணங்களை ஆராய்வதற்காக பரந்த அளவிலான சர்வதேச ஆவணங்களில் முதலீடு செய்ய திட்டமிட்டுள்ளேன், மேலும் எனது பல் ஊடகத்தின் முடிவினது டிஜிட்டல் அம்சத்தை மேம்படுத்த புதிய ஸ்கேனரைப் கொள்வனவு செய்யவுள்ளேன். இந்த ஆதரவு ஆக்கப்பூர்வமான எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டி எனது கலை வெளிப்பாட்டை உயர்த்துவதற்கு எனக்கு ஊக்கமளிக்கிறது.

இலங்கையின் பொருளாதார சவால்கள் படைப்பாளிகளுக்கு கணிசமான தடையாக உள்ளது, ஏனெனில் நிதிக் கட்டுப்பாடுகள் பெரும்பாலும் கலை நோக்கங்களை விட உயிர்வாழ்வதை முதன்மைப்படுத்துகின்றன. இளம் சந்தித்தியினர் சமூக ஊடகங்கள் மூலம் கலையுடன் ஒரு நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய தொடர்பை வெளிப்படுத்தும் அதேவேளை மக்கள் தமது தினசரி வாழ்க்கை போராட்டங்களில் கவனம் செலுத்துவது கலைகளுடனான அவர்களின் ஈடுபாட்டைக் கட்டுப்படுத்துகிறது. இந்த பொருளாதார நெருக்கடி படைப்பாற்றலை முடக்குவது மட்டுமன்றி செழிப்பான கலைச் சூழல் அமைப்பின் வளர்ச்சியைத் தடுக்கிறது.

ஒரு கலைஞராக எனது முதன்மை குறிக்கோளானது கலை செயல்முறையின் மூலம் தனிப்பட்ட நிறைவைக் கண்டறிவதும், எனது கலை பற்றிய பார்வையை உலகத்துடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்வதும் ஆகும். பலதரப்பட்ட கண்ணோட்டங்களை ஆராய மற்ற கலைஞர்களுடன் ஒத்துழைத்து செயற்பட்டு, எனது தனித்துவமான பாணியை வெளிப்படுத்த எனது சொந்த கண்காட்சியை நடத்துவது என்பவை கெனது கலை பயண குறிக்கோளின் முக்கிய படிமுறைகள் ஆகும். இறுதியில், மற்றவர்களுடன் எதிரொலிக்கும், நீடித்த தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் கலையை உருவாக்க விரும்புகிறேன்.

ஒரு கலைஞரின் பயணத்தில் சமூகம் என்பது மறுக்க முடியாதது.
ஆரம்பத்தில், இலங்கையின் உள்ளூர் கலைத்துறையுடன் தொடர்பைத் தேடினேன், ஆனால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில் சவால்களை எதிர்கொண்டேன். மனம் தளராமல், எனது வேலையைப் பகிர சமூக ஊடகங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி, உலகளாவிய சமூகத்தை நோக்கித் திரும்பினேன். இந்த டிஜிட்டல் தளம் ஒத்த எண்ணம் கொண்ட நபர்களின் ஆதரவான வலையமைப்பை வளர்ப்பதில் கருவியாக இருந்தது. இந்த சமூகத்திலிருந்து பெறப்பட்ட ஊக்கமும் உத்வேகமும் விலைமதிப்பற்றது, எனது கலை வளர்ச்சியைத் தூண்டியதோடு பெரும்பாலும் தனிமைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உலகில் இருப்பதான உணர்வை வழங்குகிறது. அவர்களின் நேர்மறையான கருத்து என் நம்பிக்கையைத் தூண்டியதோடு எனது படைப்பாற்றலின் எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டி செயற்பட என்னைத் தூண்டியது.
புவியியல் ரீதியான தூரம் நம்மைப் பிரிக்கும் அதே வேளையில், கலை மீதான பகிரப்பட்ட ஆர்வம் ஒரு சக்திவாய்ந்த பிணைப்பை உருவாக்குகிறது. இந்த உலகளாவிய சமூகம் எனது கலைப் பயிற்சியின் மூலப்பொருளாக மாறியுள்ளது, மட்டுமன்றி பரிமாற்றம், ஒத்துழைப்பு மற்றும் பரஸ்பர ஆதரவுக்கான தளத்தை வழங்குகியது.

நிச்சயமாக, சமூக மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்த மற்ற கலைஞர்களுடன் ஒத்துழைத்து செயற்பட நான் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளேன். எங்களுடைய மாறுபட்ட கண்ணோட்டங்கள் மற்றும் கலை பலம் ஆகியவற்றை இணைப்பதன் மூலம் புதுமையான மற்றும் சிந்தனையைத் தூண்டும் வழிகளில் சமூகப் பிரச்சினைகளைத் தீர்க்கும் சக்திவாய்ந்த படைப்புகளை உருவாக்க முடியும். கூட்டு முயற்சிகள் மூலம் அர்த்தமுள்ள உரையாடலைத் தூண்டுவதற்கும், விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும், செயலைத் தூண்டுவதற்கும் எங்களிடம் ஆற்றல் உள்ளது. கலைக்கு தற்போதைய நிலையை சவால் செய்ய மற்றும் பச்சாதாபத்தை வளர்க்கும் சக்தி உள்ளது, மேலும் இது நேர்மறையான மாற்றத்தை உந்துவதற்கான ஒரு சக்திவாய்ந்த கருவியாகவும் திகழ்கிறது.
